Entrepreneurship 101 is an introductory module that prepares university and TVET students to think, act, and grow as entrepreneurs, innovators, and changemakers. Aligned with the mission of African higher education institutions to produce job creators rather than job seekers, this module provides foundational knowledge and practical skills for identifying opportunities, solving community problems, and initiating viable projects.
Students will explore the concept of entrepreneurship in an African context, connect classroom knowledge with real-life enterprise, and gain confidence to take initiative. With growing youth populations and high unemployment rates, especially in sub-Saharan Africa, entrepreneurial thinking is critical for economic transformation and resilience.
Whether students start a venture or apply entrepreneurial approaches within existing organizations, this module equips them for future leadership in innovation, job creation, and inclusive growth.
